This is a small beginners group enjoying a weekly fun session learning modern line dancing - as opposed to country line dancing. With modern line dancing, there is no dressing up. People wear whatever they like. You form a line with a group of fellow dancers and do the steps together at the same time, but with a variety of foot, body and arm movements. Also, it’s much more flexible and uses any 'modern' music, eg pop, swing, rock & roll and even a waltz rhythm.
Lacking expertise within Hitchin u3a, we are attending weekly sessions run by the Footsteps School of Dancing in Letchworth. If you are a member of Hitchin u3a and are interested in joining this group or attending on a trial basis, contact the group coordinator by clicking on the link above.
If you are not a member of Hitchin u3a and want to join, please contact Nigel on 07713 577413 or email nigel@footstepsschoolofdancing.co.uk
