The Healthy at 100 Group

Status:Active, open to new members
Coordinator:
When: Monthly on Wednesdays 10:30 am-12:30 pm
Third Wednesday of the month
Venue: Hermitage Road Coffee & Bagel Bar

The purpose of the group is to sieve through and understand data on longevity - living a longer, healthier life. There is loads of data and research but it can be confusing. The group is member lead. Each month one member suggests a topic and provides some materials others can study (or not, their choice). In the meeting we discuss the findings and what it means personally. Anyone who commits to adopting a new habit or behaviour would be supported by one or a collection of the group members.

The scope of discussion/study is understanding the 4 pillars of longevity:

The food we eat and the impact on the body

Exercise, how much and what type

        Sleep

        Mental fitness

Hopefully, group members will adopt some of the practices they hear about by changing "just one thing", (to borrow from the late Michael Mosley).

The group meets on the third Wednesday each month at 10:30. If people are interested, please contact Jan, the Group Coordinator, by clicking on the link above.
