The group meets on various days during the second week of the month. Walks are a not too strenuous 4-5 miles (2-2½ hours) through local countryside of North Herts and South Beds followed by an optional pub lunch. The walks are all surveyed by the walk leader in advance to confirm that there are no hazards. Please be aware that anyone taking part in U3A activities does so at their own risk.
Our next walk will be on Wednesday July 15th in the Pegsdon Hills area and led by Nick and Anne Hersey. The walk starts just behind the View on Pegsdon Way, it goes up to Telegraph Hill, across farm land and then back through the Pegsdon nature reserve. There is a gentle but steady climb up and a slightly steeper walk down. It is all on footpaths and there are great views. We will be having lunch at The Raven in Hexton.
